The Science of Life Conference

Proposal

Every other year, alternating with CASYS, the Science of Life meeting happens.
This takes place in the same period of the year, but uses a different format.
The meetings are meant for an optimal exchange of ideas, in a secluded location.
Participants thereby have opportunity to deepen understanding of each other’s (and their own) work.

All participants present their ideas as papers prior to the meeting
During the conference each brings an A0 size poster, presenting their insights.
In the conference personal contacts,, small groups, lectures and plenary discussions take place.
The participants themselves decide/communicate/arrange/report how that happens

The meeting will be operated low-budget, non-profit.
Those who get job-funded for participation, can sponsor others who do not.
Participants can team-travel if possible; low-budget-airline airport Schiphol is hub.
Participation is by invitation only: the aim is optimal (inter)personal communication.
