Thinking beyond Knowledge O#o van Nieuwenhuijze
Written code is one of the obstructive constructs of science. The code is not the problem. The handicap lies in a specific mind set, by which people can come to regard the code as fixed; as if given. This is similar to the mind set into which people were conditioned to believe in the bible; without questions.
Buckminster Fuller proposed to get beyond this by considering every noun as a verb. David Bohm proposed Rheomode as a fundamental concept of/for physics. Edward deBono introduced Lateral Thinking; contextualising each idea in context perspective. For the study of life science it means that we need to look at reality (noun) as a (verb) realisation.
The principle involved can be related to two aspects of our living body. The first is the realisation that all matter in the body is deposited as result of an in(-)formation process. The second is that this underlying psychologic information process makes use of reflexes and realisations. It is the interplay between state and phase which is the foundation of the process of Life; and healing.
In life and healing we cannot make use of the language of states of objects. Maturana and Varela described how the language of the body is the basis of our language of communication. Jan van der Greef e.a. showed that this can be illustrated in part by the metabolomes in the body. These metabolic cycles of molecules, are but one aspect of the electromagnetic in-formation process.
The most practical model for description is the theory of systems of Ludwig von Bertalanffy. The power of this approach is much enhanced when interpreted not just as dealing with system variation. The model can be equally used, and applied to (Thom) singularity systems and (Langhaar) dimensional systems. This makes it possible to use the same, common, approach to deal with state, process, singularities and dimensional transitions.
This has great implications for the use in the study of living systems. The emergence of the system, its embedding in the context, the boundary processing and the system states can all be described by the same model. Although basically based on the juxtaposition of scalar, vector, tensor and torsion notation, it can also be used to integrate space, time, energy and conscious (i.e. information). Most important, the model shows the interfacing of s system in its context: the four aspects are the phased of a boundary transition, in context. It is a logic
The system is thereby not a formula, equation or operation, but an operator of logic. This means that the formulation cannot be specified without describing your own participation. It literally turns reality into a realisation. It also means it is not a description for the Universe around us, but a formulation of/for the realisation within us.
Whatever science has denoted for reality, is in fact an expression of realisation. The universe is the inverse of the way we function. Science never describes perceptions of our context, bit only experiences of sensory cells in our own body. Even measuring devices are created and selected because they correlate with the functioning of our body.
The code of language, the measuring instruments, the objects of reality all are constructs of realisation.
